Color perception is a curious thing. The same mechanisms that make this square look much darker than it actually is, is the same mechanisms that makes me misjudge color cosmetics when they're in their tubes. When I first looked at Ciel Rose* ($35CDN) it seems so dark and unflattering, almost dull but when I put it on, it was an amazingly vibrant MLBB rosey shade. It was so appropriate to pair with a day smokey eye.
I think the color of the Fluid Stick tubes are actually a colored plastic casing and not the fluid itself. For some reason the plastic of Ciel Rose does not look like its actual color which might make some people forgo this shade. The visible shade seems slightly brown leaning but the actual liquid is hardly that.
Ciel Rose: I wore this with one of the new Essense Smokey Eyes Sets in Day Smokey. I often don't know what lipstick to pair with smokey or any colored eyes and used to go for super dead nuded-out lip. Getting more comfortable with color made transitioning into MLBB's an alright option. For a slight rose MLBB, Ciel Rose makes for a good no-thought color choice. The Fluid Stick formulas are a favorite of mine. Glossy and vibrant upon application, they wear down to a nice stain during the day and are comfortable on the lips. I don't have a stickiness problem with these and I enjoy the fluidity of the liquid and the curvature of the applicator.
Essenece Smokey Eyes Set in Day Smokey: I actually love sponge tip eye applicators and the colors placed and blended the one provided. The colors were pigmented and didn't crease during the day. Day Smokey gives a slightly cool leaning taupe look that's easy and office appropriate. This might be a good grab and go palette for minimalist travelers.
