A couple of weeks ago I was formally introduced to Paul & Joe Beaute. Already aware of this line since its been pretty popular in Asia I was happy to learn that it has recently entered into North American markets via Shoppers Drugs Marts. The rep described all the brains behind each beauty product. Not only adorable, pacakged, from his descriptions ,the formulas are no slouches either. I've already tried and loved one of their boxed blushes and I can't wait to try more.

I received the Lip Liner Duo 04 Frappe and Liquid Eyeliner 01* Black.

The lip liner was quite smooth and creamy when applied. It didn't tug and didn't feel drying as I wore it through the day. It did fade after a meal though the outer edges were still visible. These are an improvement from the NYX liners I'm used to. Not many people will find this particular color combination useful but for the few that love their brights, this would be a great liner duo to pick up.

The eyeliner leaves a sheen when applied, typical of most liquid liner products. It's waterproof and the very fine tip makes thin (left eye) and thick (right eye) lines relatively easy (shaky hands aside). The product works quite well but my eyes teared a little when I used it. Maybe I got the color too close to my water line, I'm not sure. Overall the liner doesn't smudge but the other corner of my cat eye did transfer just a little to my lower lid once.

These two products were a good further introduction into Paul & Joe Beaute. The packaging is adorable and the flower motifs are feminine. All Paul & Joe products make great vanity pieces; these are no exception. When they expand to a few more Shoppers, I'll be happily swatching some of their powder products for sure.

Have you tried Paul & Joe? I heard their primer is a best-seller in Asia!
