Finally, someone in the West is trying their hand at creating a drugstore cleansing oil. Since I always go in for the double cleanse, I'm always on the look out for affordable cleansing oil options.
Garnier Clean+ Nourishing Cleansing Oil (125mll, $7-15) is formulated for dry skin and contains Jojoba and Macadamia oils. This product is supposed to dissolve makeup and impurities while replenishing the skin, leaving no residue. One week of use will result in smoother and softer skin.
This is a solid drugstore offering and works comparably to other asian drugstore cleansing oils I have tried. It doesn't compare to my Fancl though. The oil is viscious and I need at least two pumps to cover my face (I only ever need one from other bottles). The oil almost soaks into the skin so more product is necessary to cover my whole face. It removes all waterproof makeup but it does leave a thin oil layer behind once rinsed off. It doesn't emulsify fully. Since this is specifically for dry skin, this isn't an issue. The oils in the product remain to perform the "nourishing" claim.
Since my skin is not oily, a cleanser after using this is all I need to remove the rest of the oil from my face. It has a melon scent that's quite pleasant and doesn't last. This product is better than the Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil I tried a while ago. That broke me out, clogged my pores and didn't really rinse off.
Just a note, since I'm using more pumped and this bottle only has 125ml this might not be as economical as I think. I would buy this if it were under $10 but probably not over.
