Stila Custom Color Blush - Sheer Pink

I believe this was the blush that started it all for me. When this came out so many years ago, it really intrigued me that one blush could be suitable for all people.

The color is pretty frightening in the pan. It's a bright hot pink. Though the shade is named "sheer pink" it's pretty hard to imagine that there's anything really sheer about this. The formula is suppose to react to everyone's individual skin tone and pH levels to create a custom color. It is advertised as ultra-blendable, supposed to smooth over any fine lines leaving a luminous flawless flush.

I have to say that this creates a lovely pink flush on the cheeks. When blended out, it changes to a nice bright rose for me. The color looks very cool toned in the pan and when swiped without blending on the hand. However, it presents slightly warmer on my skin once the color has a chance to adjust a little.

It definitely is very blend-able. I wouldn't go too heavy handed but even when I put on a little too much, it blends out very very nicely. I don't have any fine lines on my cheeks so I can't attest to that claim but the formula is very silky and sits wonderfully on the face. The powder isn't chalky and it lasts for the whole day.

I have to say that I just love the brightness it gives to my cheeks. It gives me a little perk-up to open up the compact (having a mirror inside is awesome btw) and see that bright color.

What was your first blush? Have you tried any custom color/tone changing products?

Daily Zen: Been on a early 20th century literary kick recently. Read Evelyn Waugh's Handful of Dust and am now on to this one.
